World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also increase bonuses like damage from PvE and crit chance.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment with a slot for them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level for a component to be applied. Unlike other mods, upgrade item components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment as well as the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the equipment with the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them from the cash shop or collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of an item will be revealed in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep improving their equipment even if they're uncertain of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive and it is likely that the item will be obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the chance of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrader way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced with no restrictions are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools, and through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the various Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For example an Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The Item Upgrade (Humanlove.Stream) system allows players to boost the stats of specific items by adding upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of an item requires a different amount of components and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Some upgrades require a special ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrade a piece of equipment the original item will be replaced with a new item. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside since the item may become more expensive even if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful however it shouldn't be done often as it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits water. Requirements

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception of hero gear which can be upgraded up to eight times. Every when you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures can cause the item upgrader mod to return to its original condition, which requires the player to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as crit chance, attack damage, or additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value.
