The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It's got a fantastic mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest schedules that are automatic to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button click. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your space to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even remove pet hair without much difficulty. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

The app is capable of notifying you when something requires attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or in the event that you have to regularly get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could wish for. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as any we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types, and it's one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are great however they can push the L10s into the premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall, with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving around the home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station.
